Hi-tech display for ZX81 on the way…
Last week I found a (possibly) suitable TV on eBay for just over £10 with postage. It's only a 5.5in display but I hope this will be sufficient for some basic testing. Still not arrived though.
In the meantime, I've been thinking about how to load/save any programs I end up writing. I don't have an old cassette recorder and remember all too well the pain of waiting (and hoping) for a program to load from tape, and the little list of programs with the starting tape counter number. Was this such a good idea?
I had a Sinclair thermal printer with my original ZX81 and kept listings of the best code. Sadly I don't have these any more but it's probably going to be more interesting to recode from scratch than sit for hours re-keying the original code.
