Psion Series 3 – New Arrival
My existing Psion Series 3 was suffering from a faulty screen so I'd been on the lookout for a replacement/repair and found this Series 3 on eBay, boxed with manuals, and it arrived today.
The manuals are OK too, and included a previous owners's bookmark - from 1996!
The power supply is in excellent condition and output 9.8V when tested.
Initial impression were good. It's in exellent condition and powered up first time after adding main batteries. The backup battery was low but easily replaced. All went well until, after setting the date/time I tried to go back to the System screen. Sadly, the button bar doesn't respond so it'll need a bit of a repair. Hopefully it will just be a loose cable.
